Health Related Technologies

HRT students learning hospital procedures and practices.

Health Related Technology (HRT) prepares students with foundational knowledge and skills to pursue healthcare careers.  Students will learn medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, infection control, proper communication, medical mathematics, as well as the legal and ethical aspects of healthcare.  The HRT curriculum provides clinical instruction in vital signs, infection control practices, proper body mechanics, patient hygiene, measuring intake and output, and EKG’s.

Students will gain the following certifications during their three year tenure in HRT:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• HIPAA
• Personal Direct Care Provider (Home Health Aide)
• OSHA 10 for Healthcare employees
